Students’ dress, personal appearance, and conduct are required to be of such character as not to disrupt or detract from the educational environment of the school. Any style that tends to diminish instructional effectiveness or discipline control by teachers is not acceptable. The following guidelines are in accordance with CCSD Regulation 5131:
- Students must wear shoes to school.

No flip-flops, pool slippers, or thongs will be allowed.

Shoes must have soles and provide enough foot coverage to avoid the possibility of toes being injured while moving from class to class.

Shirts and blouses must be appropriately buttoned in accordance with the design of that shirt or blouse.

The length must extend beyond the belt level. Shirts must have at least a three-inch strap.
- All shorts, skirts, and skorts must be fingertip length.
- Wearing see-through tank tops, bare midriff, strapless, or low-cut clothing is prohibited.
- Hats are prohibited on campus.
- Wearing clothing with slogans or advertisements which by their controversial or obscene nature disrupts the educational setting is prohibited. This includes clothing with alcohol and/or tobacco advertisements.
- Torn and cut-off clothing is prohibited.
- Sagging is prohibited.
- Full-fingered gloves, mittens, coats, and scarves may be worn to school but must be removed when inside the building.
- Buttons, jewelry, or other articles with slogans or advertisements which are controversial or obscene are prohibited.
- Bike shorts and stretch pants are prohibited.
- Hair not within the range of natural hair colors is prohibited.
- Sunglasses are prohibited within the building.
- Chains attached to wallets or belt loops are prohibited.
The school administration has the right to designate which types of dress or appearance disrupt or detract from the educational program.
